I didn't want them to beat me.
No way I could just sit back and let this happen so I made it my mission to fix things.
The solution for me was to up my digital advertising game to stop the floor from falling beneath me.
As many people do, I turned to the ‘gurus’ for help.
This didn’t work, all it did was...
...cause me to waste a ton of my time on things I already knew.
…gave me lots of bum steers because lots of their ideas were based on ‘theory’ and not practical actionable insights that they learned from being in the trenches
…frustrated me even more, I thought for a moment that I may just have to give up.

Running multiple businesses means I no longer had time to sift through tons of information to find out what ‘might’ work.
Instead, I told myself that I was going to spend my way out of this problem and put some of the profits from my business to good use.
I know this idea may sound alien to people.

One challenge I had to overcome was convincing my business partner that spending our hard-earned money to figure out Facebook Ads was the right thing to do.
At first he thought this was just another one of my crazy ideas.
We debated for days whether or not we should even continue offering social ads as a service.
After all, the Google Ads side of our business is hugely successful and we had the option of simply growing that.
However, my pig headedness made me not want to give up and we eventually agreed to ring fence of 4 figure budget that I could use to blast through this problem.
We had 2 accounts we could use for testing…
An eCommerce ‘side hustle’ and our main business – ClickBoost.
